Fode is a graduate of Guildhall School of Music & Drama. In 2023, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Black British Theatre Awards, for his performance in Under the Kunde Tree at The Southwark Playhouse. Last year, he made is National Theatre debut in Daniel Raggett’s The Estate. Previous stage work includes the title role in Samuel Takes a Break at the Yard Theatre, directed by Anthony Simpson-Pike; Dipo Barruwa-Etti’s An Unfinished Man, directed by Taio Lawson; and Banquo in Macbeth at the Globe, directed by Abigail Graham.
Fode plays journalist Simon in new Netflix’s Hostage, opposite Suranne Jones, created by Matt Charman. He starred as one of the leads in Stephen Poliakoff’s Summer of Rockets with Keeley Hawes. Other TV credits include BBC’s Vigil: The Reckoning also for the BBC; and he just filmed a role on the next season of Apple TV’s critically acclaimed Slow Horses.
In film, Fode plays Roy in Fisherman’s Friends 2. He can also be seen in Fuze, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Flavia De Luce, from by Bahrat Nalluri.
